# Returning to Tech: A New Chapter

When I first began my career, I was a teacher. Helping students learn, grow, and build confidence has always been something I deeply care about.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to take a leap of faith and explore another passion of mine-technology. I transitioned into cloud development, where I had the opportunity to work with cloud infrastructure and help solve real-world problems for clients. It was challenging, exciting, and reminded me how much I enjoy learning and building.

Not long after, an opportunity came along that I simply couldn't pass up: a teaching position overseas. It allowed me to combine my love for education with the chance to experience life in a new country. Returning to the classroom was one of the most rewarding decisions I've made. Over the past few years, I've grown tremendously—not just as a teacher, but as a communicator, collaborator, and lifelong learner.

But throughout that time, I never stopped thinking about technology.

I found myself keeping up with new tools, reading about cloud computing, and wondering how much the industry had evolved. The more I explored, the more I realized that I genuinely missed it. I missed solving problems, building solutions, and working in an environment where there's always something new to learn.

So, I've decided it's time to return.

One thing I've learned is that taking a different path doesn't mean starting over. My years in education weren't a pause in my career—they were a chance to develop skills that are just as valuable in technology. Teaching has strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas, adapt quickly, work with people from different backgrounds, and stay calm when facing new challenges. Those experiences have shaped me into a stronger professional than I was before.

## Why Cloud?

Cloud technology continues to change the way businesses build and deliver software. While the tools have evolved since I last worked in the field, what excites me remains the same: finding practical solutions, continuously learning, and creating systems that make a real difference.

There's something incredibly rewarding about solving a problem and knowing you've built something that helps others.

## What's Next?

Every career journey looks different. Mine has taken me from the classroom, to cloud engineering, back to the classroom, and now back into technology once again.

And honestly, I wouldn't change a thing. Each step has taught me something valuable, and I'm excited to see where this next chapter leads.

Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing the projects I build, the lessons I learn, and the challenges I encounter as I dive back into AWS, DevOps, and modern cloud engineering. My hope is that this journey not only helps me grow, but also encourages others who may be thinking about taking a leap of faith or returning to a passion they once had.

Thanks for reading—and here's to new beginnings, lifelong learning, and building something meaningful.
